What We Believe

With Christians of other communions, we believe:
There is but one living and true God, of infinite power and wisdom; Sovereign of all things, visible and invisible; Creator of Heaven and Earth.
In Jesus Christ, His only son, our Lord, fully God and fully man. He is the eternal Word of God made flesh, the only begotten of the Father, conceived by the Holy Spirit, and born of the Virgin Mary. He suffered and died to atone for the sins of mankind, was buried, rose from the dead, and ascended into Heaven to sit at the right hand of the Father, from whence He shall return to judge the quick and the dead.
In the Holy Spirit, who proceeds from and is one with the Father and the Son. He convinces the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgement. He comforts, sustains, and empowers the faithful and guides them into truth.
These three–God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost–make one God.
All men have sinned and have missed the mark of God’s righteousness, and have rebelled against God and disobeyed His laws and are condemned to Hell. No one can forsake sin and please God on their own, and can only become a part of the Kingdom of God and His righteousness through Jesus Christ, and Him alone. Anyone who repents of their sins, trusts and confesses in Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord, and believes that God has raised Him from the dead, that person is saved and justified before God.
Once justified, God continues His grace in the believer’s life through daily conviction. The believer is called upon to glorify and please God in his daily life and to allow God’s sanctifying grace in his life: his salvation is not a license to sin.
The repentent believer is promised eternal life in Heaven with God, Jesus our Lord, and the hosts of saints who have gone before us.
